About the Role
Paragon Talent is working with a global market leader in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) to appoint 4 senior sales professionals, two in the US and two in Europe, across the Human Health and Animal Health markets.
Our client is a well-established supplier to regulated markets, with a strong reputation for quality, compliance, and long-term customer partnerships. Serving both human and animal health sectors, they combine deep technical expertise with global reach, connecting trusted manufacturing partners to leading pharmaceutical and health companies worldwide.
This is a high-impact, senior sales role where you’ll leverage your established network, ingredient-level expertise, and ability to deliver large-volume business into pharmaceutical manufacturing markets. The Role
As Sales Director, you will:
- Develop and expand the customer base by leveraging existing relationships and creating new ones.
- Deliver significant revenue growth from pharmaceutical manufacturers, with expectations of bringing business into the role.
- Lead customer engagement across EMEA or North America, including regular site visits and representation at major trade shows (e.g., CPHI Worldwide, DCAT).
- Partner with technical and sales colleagues to identify product and project opportunities for future growth.
- Maintain strong relationships with API manufacturing partners, supporting long-term strategic collaboration.
- Provide forecasts, pipeline insights, and strategy input at senior level.
What We’re Looking For
- 12–15+ years’ API / ingredient-level sales experience (Human or Animal Health).
- Established customer base within pharmaceutical manufacturers.
- Proven track record of winning and growing large-volume accounts ($500k+ per account annually).
- Deep knowledge of key APIs such as trazepatide, leblutide, vitamin B1 injectable, naproxen, doxepoxil (human) or lincomycin, amprolium, clopthromycin, halofuginone (animal).
- Strong business development skills – capable of identifying, pitching, and closing new opportunities.
- Professional, credible presence with ability to represent at global industry events.
- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred.
- Multilingual skills a plus.
