Regional Sales Manager - North East
Meet Our Recruiter
About the Role
A couple of years ago, I helped a global leader in plant-based functional ingredients to hire a Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast US. Fast forward to today, the lady I placed has been promoted to a global key account role, following the success she’s had since joining.
Which means… we’re now looking for her successor.
This isn’t just another sales role. It’s a chance to join a business known worldwide for quality, innovation, and customer partnerships, and to take commercial ownership of one of their most strategically important regions. You’ll inherit a strong customer base, but there’s also plenty of room to grow and make your mark.
What you’ll be doing:
- Turning global sales strategy into a focused, actionable plan for the Northeast region and delivering results.
- Building and strengthening relationships with customers across the spectrum, from ambitious SMEs to major multinationals.
- Leading commercial conversations and price negotiations to secure the best outcomes.
- Actively hunting for new business and converting opportunities into revenue.
- Representing the company at trade shows and events, expanding visibility and your network.
- Staying close to industry trends and competitor activity to shape your approach.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone with a hunter mindset, someone who thrives on developing new business, building relationships, and creating opportunities.
You should have:
- At least 10 years’ experience in specialty food ingredients or flavours (think fibres, starches, functional proteins, not commodities).
- Proven track record in both new business development and existing account development
- Experience selling into markets like bakery, dairy, and broader food manufacturing.
- Comfortable managing everything from major multinational accounts to smaller, fast-growing customers.
- Willing and excited to be out in the field, travelling, visiting customers, and attending trade shows.
- A background in food science, food technology, or chemistry is a bonus, but not essential.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a market-leading business, own a key territory, and help shape the next chapter of its growth in the US.
If that sounds like you, or someone in your network, please get in contact.
