About Me
James is a Principal Consultant at Paragon Talent, specialising in senior-level appointments across the Food & Beverage, Flavour, Fragrance and Ingredients sectors. With over 20 years’ experience, he has built a strong track record of connecting manufacturing businesses with high-calibre talent, predominantly across the UK and increasingly throughout Europe and the US.
Before joining Paragon Talent, James spent 15 years within the Staffline Group, working in a specialist division delivering permanent and contract recruitment solutions for mid-to-senior level roles. His focus spanned Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical and Supply Chain functions, during which time he successfully built and led teams, managed divisions, and developed long-standing client relationships.
Earlier in his career, James worked in retail banking with Yorkshire Bank before joining HSBC via their graduate scheme. This foundation developed highly transferable skills around customer service, relationship management and understanding individual needs — principles that continue to underpin his approach today. Delivering a tailored, consultative service remains central to the way James supports both clients and candidates.
