Candidate Support for the Flavour, Fragrance & Ingredients Industry

At Paragon Talent, we work with experienced professionals across the flavour, fragrance, food ingredients, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical ingredients and speciality ingredients markets.Whether you are actively looking for your next move or simply open to hearing about the right opportunity, we provide honest, informed and confidential career support built around your experience, ambitions and long-term goals. We are not generalist recruiters. Our focus is the ingredients industry, which means we understand the markets you work in, the companies you compete against, the roles you are likely to be approached for, and the type of opportunity that would genuinely make sense for your career. From senior commercial and technical roles to leadership, operations, supply chain, procurement and executive appointments, we work closely with candidates who want more than a transactional recruitment process. We take the time to understand what matters to you, then represent you properly.

A recruitment partner who understands your market
The ingredients sector is highly specialised. Career moves are rarely straightforward, especially at senior level.Titles vary from business to business. Responsibilities can differ significantly across manufacturers, distributors and solution providers. A move that looks attractive on paper may not always offer the remit, culture, autonomy or long-term progression you are looking for. That is where specialist recruitment support matters. Our work across the flavour, fragrance and wider ingredients industries gives us a detailed understanding of:

Commercial leadership roles across Europe and the US

Technical, R&D and applications positions

Sales, business development and key account management roles

Operations, supply chain and procurement leadership

Senior management, board-level and executive appointments

Distributor, manufacturer and principal-led business models

The difference between advertised opportunities and confidential searches

We help you assess opportunities properly, ask the right questions, and make informed decisions about your next move.

Access to confidential and unadvertised opportunities
Many of the roles we work on are not publicly advertised.Senior leadership appointments, confidential replacement searches, and strategic commercial hires are often handled quietly, particularly when businesses are protecting internal information, restructuring teams or building in a new region.Through our relationships with ingredient manufacturers, distributors and growth-focused businesses across the UK, Europe and the US, we can introduce you to opportunities that may never appear on job boards. These can include:

Commercial Director and Sales Director roles

VP Sales, Regional Sales Manager and Business Development roles

General Manager, Managing Director and Country Manager positions

Technical Sales, Applications and R&D leadership roles

Procurement, Supply Chain and Operations leadership appointments

Senior roles within food ingredients, flavours, fragrance, nutraceuticals and pharmaceutical ingredients

We will only discuss opportunities with you where there is a genuine potential fit.

Honest guidance, not pressure
Changing role is a significant decision. For many of the candidates we speak to, it may involve leaving a business where they are well-established, relocating, joining a smaller company, stepping into a larger remit, or taking on a new market challenge. We do not believe in pushing candidates into processes that are not right for them. Our role is to give you clear information, honest feedback and practical guidance, so you can decide whether an opportunity is worth exploring. That includes helping you understand:

The company and its position in the market

The reason the role exists

The expectations attached to the position

The reporting structure and internal dynamics

The likely package and progression potential

The culture, leadership style and decision-making process

Any risks or considerations you should be aware of

If we think something is not right, we will say so.

Confidentiality throughout the process
Confidentiality is essential in specialist recruitment, particularly in a close-knit industry like ingredients. We will never send your CV, discuss your background with a client, or introduce you to a business without your permission. Before any formal introduction is made, we will explain the opportunity, the company, the context of the role and why we believe it may be relevant to you.You stay in control of your career conversations at every stage.

Support from first conversation to final decision
We support candidates throughout the full recruitment process, from initial conversation through to offer, resignation and onboarding.Depending on the role and process, this may include:

Initial career discussion and opportunity assessment

CV positioning and profile advice

Market insight and salary guidance

Interview preparation

Feedback after each stage

Offer negotiation support

Guidance around counteroffers and resignation

Continued contact after placement

Our aim is not simply to help you secure a role. It is to help you make the right move.

Representing your experience properly
Strong candidates are often more than a CV.A two-page document rarely captures the full story behind your commercial impact, technical expertise, leadership style, customer relationships, market knowledge or ability to build and grow teams.Where appropriate, we help clients understand the depth behind your experience. That may include written candidate profiles, structured summaries, behavioural insight, video introductions or detailed context around your achievements. We want clients to understand not just where you have worked, but what you have actually delivered.

Who we typically support
We regularly speak with senior professionals across:

Flavour and fragrance

Food and beverage ingredients

Nutraceutical and health ingredients

Pharmaceutical ingredients, APIs and excipients

Speciality chemicals and speciality ingredients

Ingredient distribution

Technical sales and applications

Commercial leadership

R&D, innovation and product development

Procurement, supply chain and operations

Whether you are actively looking, considering a move in the next 6–12 months, or simply want to understand the market, we are always happy to have a confidential conversation.

Speak with a specialist ingredients recruiter
If you work in the flavour, fragrance or ingredients industry and are considering your next career move, we would be pleased to speak with you.You do not need to be actively looking. Some of the best conversations start long before someone decides to make a move.Contact Paragon Talent for a confidential conversation about your experience, the market, and the kind of opportunity that could make sense for your future career.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only work with candidates in the flavour and fragrance industry? No. While flavour and fragrance are core markets for Paragon Talent, we also support candidates across food ingredients, speciality ingredients, nutraceuticals, pharmaceutical ingredients, APIs, excipients and ingredient distribution.Do you work on confidential roles?Yes. Many senior appointments in the ingredients industry are handled confidentially and are not publicly advertised. We will always explain the opportunity and ask for your permission before making any introduction. Will you send my CV to a company without asking me? No. We will never send your CV or discuss your background with a client without your consent. What types of roles do you recruit for? We support roles across commercial leadership, sales, business development, technical sales, R&D, applications, procurement, supply chain, operations and executive leadership.Do you support candidates outside the UK? Yes. Paragon Talent works with candidates and clients across the UK, Europe and the US, particularly within the flavour, fragrance and ingredients sectors. Can I speak to you even if I am not actively looking? Yes. Many of our candidate conversations are exploratory. You may not be actively looking today, but it can still be useful to understand the market, salary trends and the type of opportunities that may suit your experience.
